MASHPEE MAN ARRESTED FOR RECEIPT OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
Mashpee, MA... A Mashpee man was arrested this morning on a complaint charging him with possession of child pornography. United States Attorney Michael J. Sullivan and Kenneth W. Kaiser, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigations in New England, announced that DAVID BERGLUND, age 42, of Mashpee, Massachusetts, was charged in a complaint with possession of visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. According to an affidavit filed in support of the complaint, FBI agents discovered the child pornography on BERGLUND’s computer after he consented to their searching it. If convicted, BERGLUND faces a maximum sentence of 10 years. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Dana Gershengorn in Sullivan’s Major Crimes Unit. The details contained in the complaint are allegations. The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
