Warren Man Pleads Guilty to Possession of Child Pornography

Bangor, Maine: United States Attorney Paula D. Silsby announced that Armin William Sabky, 28, of Warren, Maine, pled guilty on October 4, 2007 in U.S. District Court in Bangor to two counts of Unlawful Possession of Child Pornography.

According to court records, in the fall of 2006, Sabky knowingly possessed a laptop computer and other material that contained images of child pornography. During the execution of a search warrant at Sabky's residence, Sabky admitted to a police officer that he had downloaded videos of child pornography on the laptop computer. A forensic exam of the computer revealed the presence of well over 600 computer graphic child pornography images and more than a dozen videos of child pornography.
Sabky faces a possible sentence of up to 20 years imprisonment on each count, up to a $250,000 fine, or both, on each count.

United States Attorney Silsby praised the investigation conducted by the United States Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bangor Police Department.
