Maine Woman Found Guilty of Aiding and Abetting Bank Robbery
CONCORD, NH—Acting United States Attorney for the District of
New Hampshire Michael J. Gunnison, FBI Special Agent in Charge Warren Bamford and
Wakefield Police Chief Kenneth Fifield today announced that Tammy Fowler, 49, of Old
Orchard Beach, Maine, was found guilty after a jury trial, of aiding and abetting the robbery of
the Profile Bank, Wakefield, New Hampshire on January 23, 2009. Paul Dimeo, who was
charged with the bank robbery, is awaiting trial in the United States District Court.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for September 3, 2009 in the United States District
Court. Fowler faces a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years. Under the advisory federal
sentencing guidelines, Fowler’s sentence is likely to be much less than 20 years.
The case was investigated by the Wakefield Police Department, the Carroll County
Sheriff’s Office, the New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game, and the Federal Bureau of
Investigation. The United States Attorney’s Office appreciates the assistance of these agencies
in the investigation and prosecution of this case.
